We developed a real-time booking system that integrated with retreat organizers' calendars, ensuring that users could view up-to-the-minute availability for each retreat. To support BookRetreats' global expansion, we migrated the platform to Amazon Web Services (AWS). By leveraging services such as AWS Lambda for serverless computing and Amazon RDS for database management, we ensured that the platform could scale dynamically based on user demand. This allowed BookRetreats to handle increased traffic and manage different currencies, time zones, and languages effortlessly.
We optimized the platform for both web and mobile users, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly experience. The web application was built using React.js, while the mobile version was developed with React Native, ensuring consistency across platforms.
